Come to our Upcoming Write for Rights Event!
Come along to the upcoming Write for Rights event hosted by the Amnesty International Australia NSW Legal Network. A small event providing a fun and social way to meet like minded people, while using the power of your pen to save lives and promote human rights. At the heart of Amnesty International is the idea that we are at our most powerful when we stand together for human rights. Letter writing is at our core, and has been ever since our first letter-writing campaign in 1961. Write for Rights is Amnesty International’s global letter-writing moment, when the world joins together to help people experiencing human rights abuses.
This small event will be held at Lentil as Anything, Newtown. This fun, quirky, community-run venue promises an entertaining night, for a good cause! There'll be music, Lentils' famous vegan food and a room full of compassionate, like-minded people to chat to. The main focus, of course, will be writing letters to demand justice for people around the world. We'll have template letters for you to sign, or you can write your own, from the heart. The letters we write will be combined with letters written by Amnesty supporters around the world. In the true spirit of Amnesty, we will demand justice and inspire action! Come along to our Write for Rights event to contribute to making a change whilst enjoying a live band and great food!
